A Full Circle Journey
Journey re-boots your hard drive to get you back on the path to being a winner in every area of your life.
I began my network marketing career in 1988, during a time in my life where I felt frustrated and beaten down―not only with my finances, but in almost every area of my life. I became involved in the industry, but for the first nine months, nothing really changed.
Looking back on it, I made what ended up being the most important decision of my life. I borrowed money to attend a training event. I thought it was going to be about how to succeed at a high level in the business—and it was. But, it was also so much more.
I realized that I didn't know what I didn't know. I didn't know that even if you learn the proper techniques on how to invite, present and close, that you will only get so far in this kind of business. What really matters in our business is our personal development— working on us.
The trainer that weekend asked us all a critical question. "Would you follow you?” Wow! My truthful answer to that was a resounding “no.” He shared that if we wanted to get a crash course on leadership and personal development, we should attend training that focused on exactly that. I had learned enough at the initial event to realize that I needed it. Not just for business, but for my life. That weekend was the inspiration for WorldVentures’ Journey training.
Over the past 25 years, I have added many things to the program that have had a huge impact on my life and business. Journey teaches things that we never cover at any other events. It digs deeply into personal development. I believe we are all "born to win," but then society programs us to lose! Journey re-boots your hard drive to get you back on the path to being a winner in every area of your life.
Journey gives many attendees a whole new lease on life. We cover financial business, but we also cover physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and social well-being. It is the only time provided for Reps to work with me in a very intimate setting. While our big training event attendance can include upwards of 8,000 people, Journey may have as few as 100 attendees and no more than 400. It really allows me to get to know many of the attendees personally, and I love that! You will also build a bond with your fellow attendees that is truly remarkable. Going through this process truly brings people together in very special ways.
I will be honest with you—the hours are long, but they’re worth it! We will work every day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and then again from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Journey is held at resorts that can only be described as gorgeous and though we will work hard, we will also spend that three-hour break each day playing in the sun and having a blast!
George Washington, the first president of the United States, said that if he had three hours to cut down a tree, he would spend two hours sharpening his axe! Journey is your week away from everything to sharpen your axe so you can create a new you.
