Achieve the perfect You by broadening your professional appeal. Set direct-sales goals and a timeline at WorldVentures and climb the ladder of success.

Actor Michael Keaton used to be associated solely with comedies like “Mr. Mom,” “Night Shift,” “Johnny Dangerously” and “Beetlejuice.” He was often typecast simply as a funny guy. Then he landed the dark, serious role as playboy and crime-fighter Bruce Wayne in the 1989 movie “Batman.” After he was cast, fans protested so loudly―appalled that a comedian was going to play the Caped Crusader―that Warner Brothers studio released advanced trailers to convince them otherwise. “When they hung me in effigy, that was, for me, harsh,” Keaton reportedly said at the time. And he proved their fears unwarranted, doing a great job. His diversity as an actor really started to shine with other dramatic roles thereafter. Thing is, he reinvented himself. And his career skyrocketed.

That Keaton broadening his professional appeal meant a large upgrade to his career. And even if you aren’t an actor, you can still apply that fundamental to your own professional path, especially in the arena of direct sales. Within the WorldVentures structure, there are so many places a diligent person can go. As long as some staple rules are applied.

For instance, set a goal of where you want to end up and then devise an organized, detailed plan to get there―replete with a timeline so you can stage self-checkpoints along the way and adjust as needed. Set financial or direct-sales goals on that timeline, as well. Write it all down and post it on your office wall. Regardless, always stay focused on the prize. Many people who’ve been successful climbing the WorldVentures ladder seem to mention having a tangible game plan.

A key point is to study how people have taken this pathway before you. Choose a mentor―in WorldVentures there are many great leaders to choose from―someone who’s already made the journey you’re on. Learn the obstacles and opportunities you’re likely to encounter along the way. WorldVentures has plenty of leaders and mentors who are willing to help you get on the right path. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will the new you. Worthwhile journeys take time. This is a process. At each of those aforementioned checkpoints, look back at how far you’ve come since you started the upgrade process. You may be pleasantly surprised how your hard work has paid off.
