Plano, Texas – September 23, 2019 – Rovia™, an industry-leading travel and service provider, has won a gold Travel Weekly Award for its social media destination marketing campaign, You Should Be Here, User Generated Content, and a silver Travel Weekly Award for its Tourism Cares Puerto Rico Promotional Video, in the Tour Operators – Marketing Promotional Video category. The annual ceremony recognizes the “Best in Travel” and is held as the premier award for the travel industry.

The #YSBH UGC Campaign showcased Rovia’s brand online as the ultimate travel club community. In this effort to raise awareness for and engagement with the DreamTrips brand specifically, the Rovia team crafted a campaign encouraging members to share their best travel photos with our iconic blue sign and include the hashtag #YSBH, which stands for “You Should Be Here” – the quote used on the blue signs. The usage of #YSBH quickly skyrocketed and, currently, there are over 800K posts on Instagram alone leveraging this hashtag. Combined across all social channels, there are well over total 1M uses. The audience was current and prospective DreamTrips Members. Rovia held the campaign from January 2018 – December 2018.Team leaders from Rovia joined more than 62 industry leading travel and tourism companies to give back to communities in Puerto Rico during “Tourism Cares Puerto Rico.” The service initiative was designed to rebuild communities, bring attention to the area and support Puerto Rico as a vibrant and viable travel destination. The video captures the purpose of service, the heart of the community in Yauco, and highlighted the three-day program focused on social impact, food sovereignty, sustainability, preservation, conservation, and rebuilding communities from disaster relief to increase and leverage tourism as an economic driver.

“We’ve made it a priority to give back and highlight communities in need through Tourism Cares,” President of Rovia Jim Menge said. “At the same time, we’ve given our travel community a platform to express their voice through a campaign that highlights cultures and experiences around the world.”
